Description

Mystery and fascination surround the Extraordinary Vessels. They are one of the most dense and unknown aspects of Chinese medicine.

Amaël Ferrando, who has a traditional teaching, uses his experience as a practitioner and teacher to develop their internal logic. The intention is to acquire an intimate and deep understanding of them, making their implementation easier, whatever the nature of our practice: Qigong, acupuncture, energetic massage, Qigong Tuina, herbal therapy or simply philosophy of life.

At the crossroads of medicine and internal alchemy, this book offers a practical and concrete approach, linked to the writings of Li Shizhen, one of the most brilliant therapists in the history of Chinese medicine. In these pages, you will find :

  • an unpublished and complete translation of the Qi Jing Ba Mai Kao, a reference work on the Extraordinary Vessels written by Li Shizhen in 1572;
  • an in-depth study of the functions and imbalances of each Extraordinary Vessel, explaining Li Shizhen’s principles and comparing them with the vision of current Chinese medicine and the teachings of Qigong Tuina of the Bai lineage;
  • the particularities and effects of the combinations of the Extraordinary Vessels;
  • specific acupuncture points and Qigong Tuina maneuvers to rebalance each Vessel;
  • Qigong methods to experience, mobilize and regulate these Vessels;
  • more than 200 photos to complement the methods described for optimal learning;
  • Hundreds of feedbacks and clinical cases illustrating the practical application of these different methods; through these experiences, the intimate identity of each Vessel emerges, allowing the reader to be guided in his experiments and applications.

Because Chinese medicine is an art of life much more than a science of disease.
